Anna Catherine Martin

Anna Catherine Martin, age 79 of Shelbyville, formerly of Pleasureville, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville. She was born in Carrollton, was a cafeteria worker at Cropper School and was a member of Cropper Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters: Opal Elizabeth Gardner of Finchville, Cathy Lynn Mitchell of Shelbyville and Wilma Jean Robbins of Cropper; one sister: Virginia Roberts of Frankfort; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. (Bobby) Martin, a brother, William Thurman and a sister, Aileen Mikesell. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jesse Baxter will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until time of service on Friday. Online condolences may be expressed at sholarfuneralhome.com.
