Coleman Harper, Age 79 of Bardstown, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Sycamore Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center after a lengthy struggle with Dementia. Son of the late Amanda Lucille (Wainscott) and Marion Leslie Harper, he was born on May 9, 1946 in Franklinton, Kentucky. A hardworking and dedicated crane operator for General Electric, he retired with over 30 years of service. Coleman enjoyed watching Kentucky Basketball and was a NASCAR enthusiast, traveling and attending races. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stevie Harper.
His survivors include his daughters, Tonya Harper (Lynn Eldridge) of Crestwood, and Tami Perry (Jeffery) of Pleasureville; grandsons, Justin Phenix (Natalie) of Louisville, and Gavin Robinson (Lizzie) of Lexington; sister, Joyce Harper of Louisville; and step-grandchildren, Clayton Perry (Ashlyn) of Lawrenceburg, Makenzee Perry (Paul) of Bethlehem, and Huston Ethington (Kayla) of New Castle.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 11AM on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Franklinton Cemetery with Jakob T. Beckley Officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601. With care and professionalism, arrangements are under the direction of Beckley Funeral Home.
