Grafton Lee Peyton, Age 76, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Pleasureville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2026, at his home. Born on Monday, March 20,1950, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Grafton and Rachel (Downey) Peyton. He attended the Morganton Baptist Church. He was employed by General Electric Company, and retired with thirty-five years of service. He loved spending time with his family and taught his grandchildren how to fish and snorkel while spending time at the Jetty. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, taking rides on his motorcycle, cheering on the wildcats, watching car races and most of all hosting his family at the beach house. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of thirty-three years, Wanda Peyton.
He is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Peyton Jones; his grandson, Blake Jones; his brother, William Peyton (Kathy) and his sister Barbara Flack; additional family members are Sherri Vincent (Tim), Bryan Uebel (Maria), Pamela Cooner, Todd Uebel, Tina Casey (David) and Melissa Beaton (Robert); his eleven grandchildren; his ten great-grandchildren, and two nephews and one niece.
Pallbearers will be Blake Jones, Tim Vincent, B J Clark, Chris Peyton, Kenny Collier, and David Jones.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Beckley Funeral Home with Brother Jamie Tingle Officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Internment will take place at Kimberlin Creek Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana. With care and professionalism, arrangements are under the direction of Beckley Funeral Home.
