Irma Watts, Age 73 of Eminence, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at her residence with her caring family by her side, following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Born on Saturday, July 5, 1952, she was the daughter of Clyde William and Mary Willie (Tingle) Comer. Irma was a longtime member of Eminence Baptist Church. A sweet and affectionate lady, she cared for many children in her home throughout her career, making lasting bonds and impressions on those she cared for. Married on May 22, 1971, to Billy Paul Watts, they shared a wonderful life together raising their three boys and making lasting memories. Together over the years they enjoyed fishing. A supportive mother and caretaker, she never missed the opportunity to cheer on her kids in their sports and school activities. The annual family vacation to Panama City Beach was a special time she always looked forward to. Her hobbies included sewing and quilting, as well as loving on her dogs, especially Bobby. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Blake Watts.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Billy Paul Watts of Eminence; sons, Paul Watts (Leslie) of Eminence, Jason Watts (Whitney) of Shelbyville, and Brian Watts (Brooke) of Shelbyville; 8 grandchildren, Robert, Brianna, Faith, Haley, Tanner, Jared, Bray, and Brogan; Sister, Cathy Robinson (Jim) of Campbellsburg; Brother, William Comer (Lee) of Campbellsburg; and her mother-in-law, Bebee Watts of Pleasureville.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Beckley Funeral Home with Reverend Clint Walker of Eminence Baptist Church Officiating. Interment will follow at the Cropper Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service. To honor the memory of Irma’s late grandson Blake Watts, memorial contributions may be made to Kosair for Kids, 982 Eastern Parkway, Suite 3, Louisville, Kentucky 40217.
