Jenileigh (Richardson) Gamez, Age 55 of Shelbyville, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Baptist Health Elizabethtown Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on Sunday, August 2, 1970, she was the daughter of Charles and Helen (Yount) Richardson. As a little girl she attended Pleasureville Baptist Church where she gave her life to the lord and was baptized. A graduate of Oneida Baptist Institute in 1989, her athletic abilities shined as champion runner. A woman who loved to clean, her career encompassed cleaning at several hotels in Shelbyville, New Castle Nursing Home and most notably, Crestview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. A passionate woman, with a big heart, she loved many things in life such as listening to music, painting and coloring beautiful landscapes, and caring for animals.

She is survived by her parents, Charles and Helen Richardson of Pleasureville; son, Jacob McFarland of Shelbyville; Daughters, Elaina Eshbaugh (Antoine Lee) of Louisville, and Audriana Gamez of Shelbyville; Three Grandchildren, Hunter, Eli, Greyson; Brother, Ray Richardson (Bobbi) of Shelbyville; and a niece, Hannah Richardson of Shelbyville.

In accordance with Jenileigh’s wishes, she will be cremated, and the family will hold a celebration of life. To honor her memory and the wonderful care she received at Davita Kidney Care Centers, memorial contributions may be made to Dialysis Patient Citizens, 1300 17th Street N. Suite #580, Arlington, Virginia 22209. With care and professionalism, arrangements are under the direction of Beckley Funeral Home.
