Kimberly “Kimbo” Clark Owens, Age 60 of Lockport, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born on June 23, 1965, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, he was the son of Ray Moore and the late Mary Katherine (Smither) Moore. A jack of all trades, his career over the years varied, as he worked with his dad at Liters Rock Quarry in Lockport, in addition to farming, tinkering on anything with an engine and fixing things as a handyman. When not working, his love for horses and the outdoors was on full display. Riding horses, pulling horses, as well as hunting, fishing and woodworking brought great fulfillment to his life. Kimberly, affectionately known as “Kimbo” to his friends, he brought great fun to gatherings as a talented musician and singer. He was saved and baptized at Gratz Baptist Church and his memory will be cherished by his family and all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Owens of Lockport; Daughter, Miranda Stacy (Rush) of Belfry, Kentucky; Stepdaughters, Sierra Hibbard of Shelbyville and Sienna Hibbard of Lockport; Father, Ray Moore (Doris) of Lockport; Brothers, Lanny Owens (Kim) of Defoe, Jamie Owens of Pleasureville, and Melvin Snow (Mary) of Lockport; Sisters, Debbie Beverly (Calvin) of Lockport, Tonya Harris (Steve) of Frankfort, Kathy Wilson (David) of Lockport, and Stephanie Kay Owens of Aberdeen, Washington; three grandchildren, Berkleigh, Rush Eli, and Wyatt Stacy; three step grandchildren, Brentlee and Kayleigh Hibbard, and Hartlynn Warford; Adopted son, Martin Aldridge (Angie) of Lockport; and his dog, Max.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 PM on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Beckley Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Briscoe Officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 PM until 6pm on Sunday, September 14, 2025, and on Monday from 10 am until the time of service. Following the funeral service, Interment will be in the Wallace Cemetery. To honor Kimbo’s life, memorial contributions may be made to Beckley Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses. With Care and Professionalism, arrangements are under the direction of Beckley Funeral Home.
