Naomi Wilkerson

Naomi Bohannon Wilkerson, age 82, formerly of Defoe, died Saturday, February 13, 2016, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born June 22, 1933, and was the daughter of the late John and Lilly Deakens Bohannon. She was a retired Corporation Clerk for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Secretary of State and a member of Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband: William Hershel Wilkerson of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son: Joseph Del Wilkerson (Diane) of Loveland, Ohio; one daughter: Janice Maureen Wilkerson of Lakeside Park; one grandchild: Amy L. Wilkerson; and one nephew: Billy Joe Stivers (Betsy) of Defoe. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Carl L. Rucker will officiate. Visitation will be 12 p.m. until time of the service on Saturday. Burial will be in Defoe Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at sholarfuneralhome.com.
