Patti McAlister

Patti McAlister, Age 80 of Pleasureville, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at her daughter’s residence. Born on Thursday, July 12, 1945, in the mountains of Elkins, West Virginia, to Madeline Francis (Fansler) and Mr. Audrey Benjamin Harris, she never forgot where she came from and stayed true to her roots. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, she was faithful to read her bible each evening before bed. A cook and seamstress, she had a lengthy career as a cafeteria cook for Henry County Public Schools, before becoming a seamstress at Seta Manufacturing. Patti was formerly involved with the Order of Eastern Star of Pleasureville Masonic Lodge and was proud of her accomplishments within the organization. Her favorite past times included gardening and tending to her flowers, sewing, and cooking for family and friends. Crazy about animals, she loved her “furbabies” and they brought her great joy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Harris.

She is survived by her sons, Tom Corley (Vanessa) of Bethlehem, and Donny Corley (Kim) of Bagdad; daughter, LeeAnn Martin of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Brittany, Kristina, Daniel and Andrew Corley, and EmmaLee Martin; one great-grandchild, MaKenlee Corley; and brother, Darrell Harris (Sonya) of Burkesville.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Beckley Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Woods Officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Interment will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery.
