Shirley A. Broughton

Shirley A. Broughton, age 80, of Waterloo, IA died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. She was born September 11, 1937, in Louisville, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Opal Freeman Stewart. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter: Lisa B. Slavin (Michael) of Waterloo. IA; five sons: Rodney Broughton (Connie) of LaGrange, Tony Broughton (Trish) of Bethlehem, Doug Broughton (Donna) of Louisville, Dale Broughton (Robin) of Pleasureville, and Billy Broughton of Clarksville, IN; one brother, one sister, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Allen Broughton, and a son, Richard Todd Broughton (who is survived by Rhonda).

Private visitation was held Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville, followed by cremation.
