Jakob T. Beckley
Owner, Funeral Director, and Embalmer
Mr. Beckley is a lifelong resident and dedicated community member of Pleasureville. Beginning at a young age, Jakob has followed his passion to serve others through his education, various non-profit organizations and his career as compassionate and professional funeral director. While in high school at Henry County High School, he began job shadowing at Hall-Taylor Funeral Home in Shelbyville. As his interest in the career grew, he worked at Hall-Taylor during summers and breaks while attending Lindsey Wilson College. Upon his graduation at Lindsey Wilson with a bachelor’s in business administration, he began his apprenticeship and enrolled in mortuary classes at John A. Gupton in Nashville, TN.
In April of 2022, he earned his Funeral Directors and Embalmers license from the Kentucky Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Jakob worked at Prewitt Funeral Home in New Castle and in Eminence, serving families with utmost care and gaining a reputation of professionalism and compassion. In July of 2025, he became the proud owner of Sholar-Riley Funeral Home, that now bears his family’s name.
Jakob is extremely well versed to the Henry County community and to serving grieving families with Christian love and compassion during their most difficult days. Jakob is happily engaged to Mrs. Katelyn Grace Richardson, and they will wed in August of 2026.
Jakob T. Beckley

Mr. Danny Ellis
Licensed Transporter and Funeral Assistant
Mr. Ellis has been a longtime and well-known staple of the funeral home. A dedicated and irreplaceable employee for over 20 years, he has served families for generations. A lifelong farmer, Danny tends to his farms and cattle carrying on his family’s rich agricultural history. A graduate of the University of Kentucky, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. He is a deacon and faithful member of Pleasureville Christian Church, where he has served for many years. There isn’t much Danny doesn’t or can’t do at the funeral home, whether it’s being on call to assist families in their time of need or greeting visitors in the parking lot, he’s highly committed to the full-service commitment of Beckley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Beverly True
Funeral Assistant
Mrs. True has been an integral part of our staff for almost decade. Most notably known for her service greeting families and visitors with a friendly smile at the door, her work goes far beyond just greeting. Beverly embodies our mission of serving every family as our own and anticipates the needs of our families with great compassion. From assisting with arrangements, to ensuring the funeral home is in pristine condition for our families, Beverly strives to ensure everything is perfect. Beverly is an active volunteer in the community, helping pass out food at the monthly commodities giveaway and dressing characters at the annual Bethlehem Living Nativity. She is a faithful member of Franklinton Baptist Church and serves on the Franklinton Cemetery Board. A wonderful mother, she has two sons, Travis and Samuel.

Mr. Johnny Lefler
Support Staff
Mr. Lefler is a dedicated employee and integral part of the behind the scenes work at the funeral home. Johnny ensures the funeral home is always clean and inviting for families and visitors. He tends to the yard and landscaping with meticulous care, making the hundred-year-old home shine with beauty. Johnny lives adjacent to the funeral home and keeps close watch, acting as an added layer of protection and security. Johnny is also employed at Tandy-Eckler- Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton where he works hard and provides great service to the funeral home in Carrollton as well.
